#TNWarmUpAdventures... Day 2

Day 2 Adventures!

First Stop: Goblin Valley State Park!
We hiked the Goblin Liar trail... turns out you need repelling gear to get inside from the way we came, but we still enjoyed the 5 miles worth of trail.  Ragnar did so well in the heat, she found all the good shade spots!

We also met 2 guys driving from Chicago to LA for an internship.  After hiking with them & finding out that Zions was next on their list (we were going to insist they go there anyways), I gave them my National Parks Pass. It expired the next day & it basically was like me asking them to throw it away for me.  They were happy to save some $$ & hopefully they'll take away how awesome Utah is!

Follow that trial up to the "Goblins Lair"...  (above)
Of course we had to check out all the little hodo goblins!

After a super hot day hike, we decided to cool off at Little Wild Horse Slot Canyon.
It's free to hike it.
Put it on your list!
These little cairns were all over the canyon!
I thought this rock looked like melted ice cream...

Ragnar really enjoyed climbing all over the rocks.  There were a few times I had to carry her, and a few places she really scratched up the canyon walls.

Moqui balls were once here...

This is us being "tired"... Ragnar didn't get the memo

We didn't even make it all the way to the end of little wild horse, mainly due to this sudden storm that came upon us.  And we didn't want to be inside a slot canyon if it rain...

This cloud looks like an alligator...

First attempt of looking for the Black Dragon Petroglyph Panel.
Found this sign... not very comforting.
Nor the fact that it was on a super sandy road and the coming storm.
Again, didn't want to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere in a rain storm...

Overall I think we did about 10 miles worth of hiking.  Ragnar was a champ!
