#TNWarmUpAdventures... Day 1

One of my best friends ever is moving out to Tennessee in a month.
So during spring break she took some time off work to do some end of birthday month/last Utah (for a while at least) adventures!

Ragnar tagged along.. apparently the drive out to Price is really rough..

We explored Nine Mile Canyon to start with, it was a great combo of hiking and scenic driving.
Brace yourself for lots of petroglyph photos-because I find them fascinating!

This dog was all over the place, climbing up steep hills, climbing all over rocks, and just plainly enjoying being a dog!

This rock is the "Porky Pig" rock.
Also known as "Balanced Rock".
These 2 guys wee looking for this rock & it was our next stop so they followed us.
One guy was super nice, the other one not so much.
They followed us from spot to spot until we took a side road up a side canyon to loose them.
It was getting creepy.

We thought this one looked like a snooty monkey face...
This is supposed to be the spider lady teaching the natives to weave...
or
Bolo man.

Rare petroglyph of a tree and birds.
We climbed up the side of the mountain to get better photos of this panel.
Totally worth it!
Yes, that's a real petroglyph with real vandalism on it.

Hiked up to check out the remains of a Fremont Village.
Basically just outlines made of rocks.

 Largest buffalo petroglyph
 The famous "Great Hunt" Panel
 Even Ragnar enjoyed the petroglyphs!
Super cute selfie of Ragnar we sent to Derek
Someone painted this along the canyon wall.
I have mixed feelings about it.
Ghost Town of Harper that we couldn't even go inside the buildings.
Basically everything in this canyon is owned privately or owned by a mine.
Nine Mile Canyon is really 47 miles.. then you hit a mine and they won't let you go any further. Or at least they wouldn't let us because of the tanker that rolled over and the hazmat team was taking care of things.
