More like goal: obliterated! Which is a good thing since school starts back up soon and thus taking all of this wondering free time I have been using for reading.
A Bad Day For Voodoo by Jeff Strand
A Bad Day For Voodoo by Jeff Strand
Pgs. 252
A win for Russian Book Roulette! This book was so funny! I was nervous, but when I saw the dedication page, "This book is dedicated to everyone who is weird", I knew it was going to be a winner! Then the FAQ part right afterwards, sealed the deal! Written in a different style, it was a nice break from the other books.
Read this one for sure!

The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies #2) by Pittacus Lore
pg.406
Seven is so whinny and you could foresee a lot of the drama happening before it happened. It still played out with interesting events and a few times it felt like "what happens next??!!"

The Rise of Nine (Lorien Legacies #3) by Pittacus Lore
pg. 360
The Author, being a collective pseudonym of the two real authors, are two lil cocky writers. I understand that they are trying to create a world in which this story is "real" so why not have the author of the book be the main source of awesomeness power?
Anyways, this book had way more action in it.

The Fall of Five (Lorien Legacies #4) by Pittacus Lore
pg. 355
I knew Number Five was a jerkface right from the start. Oh sorry, *spoiler*.
Now I have to wait a few weeks until book 5 comes out since they left this book on sort of a cliff-hanger.
Good work PL!

UnEnchanted (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale #1) by Chanda Hahn
pg. 216
Different twist on the Grimm Fairy tales. I rather quite enjoyed the new view.
Definitely better than the Cinder series.

Fairest (An Unfortunate Fairy Tale #2) by Chanda Hahn
pg.235
Very predictable, although the story is in a way, interesting.
The whole Main being so naive is so overrated.
I'm done with this series.

Angel's Ink (The Asylum Tales #1) by Jocelynn Drake
pg.338
Well. If tattoos came with special powers I might be able to consider them a little more tastefully- I mean, let's be honest, if we're in a world that has magical powers who wouldn't?

Chosen (House of Night #3) by P.C. Cast
pg.307
Quick read due to the fact I basically skimmed over half the book because half the book was irrelevant. It doesn't take an entire chapter to sum up what has happened in the 2 previous books and I can go without a lot of the dialogue from some of the supporting characters. It wasn't until the last few chapters that it finally got interesting. But alas, I'm committed to the series so I must carry on...

The True Story of Hansel and Gretel by Louise Murphy
pg. 297
Set in Poland during WWII the story takes on a whole new aspect. Everything is twisted differently and it's totally plausible that this fairy tale could have been a true story. Some parts were hard to read because of the fact that, again, it totally could have happened. We know Nazis hated Jews and the horrid things they did to them. I could have gone without some of the side stories just because it was hard to read.

And then this one... I didn't finish it. I won't finish it. I'm ok with that.
Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years #1)
by Gregory Maguire
pg. 406
I tried to read this one, really tried. I knew that the play is loosely based off of this book, very loosely based. But it just didn't mesh up with everything I was wanting.
Super political and WEIRD.
Super political and WEIRD.
I don't feel bad not finishing it.
Kris says that you don't need to read this book to read the rest of the series, thankfully.
