Spring Break 2018

Friday March 30

Ladies afternoon to a "women's empowerment" thingy down at the U. The author of Hidden Figures was nice, but the planetary geologist was amazing! She had a power point and everything.  Talked about Titian and Mars and it basically said that if you have passion, the doors will open for you. Would've loved to hear to talk more about the space missions she's apart of.

Monday April 2

The girls heard me talking about geocaching and they wanted to go "treasure hunting" with me.  So we planned a day to go find some treasures!

We stated with some local caches..

 We stopped at the dollar store to get some things to exchange if the girls wanted to.

 Had lunch at Beus Pond and looked for the cache there.. but it stays hidden.

 Mixed emotions...

 Then we went up to Box Elder county for some Visit Utah caches and it was cold and windy!  But they toughed it out and said they wanted to go again on a sunny day.

 We ended the day with slushees!

Wednesday April 4

Jaxson got to spend basically allllllllll day playing games with Derek.  For Christmas, we gave the boys coupons for a day of games and an overnight camping trip with Derek.  Jaxson had been itching to use his coupon and finally got the chance to do so.  Don't worry, after about 3 hours I made them go walk the dog.

And then the rest of the time was spent with me battling allergies* and Derek working on the new water heater and plumbing for the new bathroom.  

*We later found out it wasn't allergies but pneumonia.
