March 2019

The month of March 2019

March 2
WICKED!!!!!
(It was also match day).

Our group had 70 people in it.. thanks to Jan (lower right hand corner) and she brought yummy treats for everyone at inter mission.
 Someone was tired.

Movie night with friends and SOMEONE couldn't wait for dinner...
 NOT. EVEN. SORRY.

March 6
Birthday dinner out with family.
I originally wanted to go to Holy Smokes but they CLOSE at 4pm during the week. We showed up right as the owner was leaving and he explained why and then gave us a $25 gift card! So we went to Red Robin because it was next door.
Jordan vs. the Ghost Pepper Burger
Ghost Pepper won.

Birthday dinner with friends at LoLo Hawaiian.

Thanks to the Clegg's spring cleaning, Ragnar is now the proud owner of a garbage bag full of new stuffies.

Birthday Dinner at home with family.
Make your own pizza night.
The ever watchful Ragnar, waiting to help clean up any dropped food.

Birthday Hike with friends.

Birthday adventure got snowed out (I don't camp in the snow unlike Derek) so we moved the trip to Spring Break which then got canceled because the cruse control on the xterra tried to kill us on the freeway. So now the birthday adventure will turn into a summer adventure.

Outdoor track season has begun!
We started off with an invite down in Orem by the mouth of the canyon so it was FREEZING. And yet, almost everyone got a sunburn because we weren't thinking about it.
Nate's mom came down and brought Karen and I drinks.. she's so awesome like that.
The tan lines were not forgiving. Nor was the burned scalp from my hair part.

Goldwest 5k for schools.
Ragnar came this year and she wore her doggles because it helps her stay a little bit more focused and not up in everyone's face.
Elise picked to me to walk with again. We walked until the last half mile where I gave her a piggy back ride so she could run to the end.
 Traditional shoe photo.
Later that day Jaxson used his Christmas coupon for video game time with Derek.

Derek rediscovered his magic cards and the boys were into it so they played some together.
Don't let this glare fool you. He was really excited to play. Really.

Elise even wanted to learn how.

Coach Elise.

Ragnar wasn't feeling well which always worries me because I don't want to be woken up in the middle of the night by a puking dog.

Spring reminding us that it does what it wants and canceled the jr high meet we were supposed to host (not even mad about it).

Some students feel the same way as I do about certain classes.

Some athletes stress so much about being excused for the bus that they don't appreciate my jokes, he just rolled his eyes at me.

Arizona Christmas 2018

Christmas in Arizona 2018

Not too much happened on this trip but it was still fun nonetheless.
Driving down we did some geocaching, when it wasn't snowing. We were lucky to have missed the big snow storm but unlucky that we made it out before the snow plows came out but then lucky again that we were the only ones on the road so we were able to move faster.  We wanted to stop and hike toadstools but Derek was still pretty exhausted so we that got nixed.

Introduced them to geocaching. It was a little slow at first but once we found the cache it was a different ball game. Plus we found scorpions so bonus!

Took a walking break one night and tried to find another cache just down the way from their mailbox but it was dark and we couldn't find it.

Found this cache about a mile walk from their house.

Most of the time was spent playing games.
Jane was on fire with her commentary, it was a riot!
 Minecraft.
VR gaming.

Thanks to the government shut down, we didn't get to do the adventures we wanted to, so this was as far as we got with one park.  There's always next year.
